hello, i have a quick thought i wanted to share. i hope you like it.
in my mind a big blocker is someone who is against fee pressure, because the only way to my knowledge to eleminate fee pressure is to make blocks big and keep making them bigger as demand to transact bitcoin increases.
this is an unhealthy path, equivalent to resuming alcohol intake, to deal with withdrawal symptoms. and most of bitcoin today is full of buisnesses and habits that rely on little or no fee pressure. they cannot expand if blocks are full. these buisnesses and these habits will be priced out over the next 12 months and therefore so will the lobby to increase blocksize. new companies and buisnesses are moving in however, with strategies and technology that work with the fee pressure, and these entities will prefer to keep it and they will grow stronger over time as they expand and the big block lobby shrink.
