What is Bitcoin Cash and why are supporters anti-SegWitx2?

I'm trying get an understanding of the divide between the community at the moment. I was under the impression BIP91 was a step in the right direction, but am seeing much discussion about how it's the beginning of the demise of Bitcoin "as we know it".

Can someone please explain?
