ViaBTC allows you to turn [10] BTC into [12] BTC, subsidised by r/btc (exact values subject to exchange rate fluctuations) – no joke!

…of course, r/btc would say they get subsidised by r/bitcoin. I call this a win-win (for now) 🙂

Anyway – here's how it goes:

1. Send 10 BTC (just as an example) to ViaBTC.

2. In you user account settings, turn 10 BTC into 10 BTC_frozen and 10 BCC at no fee.

3. Sell your 10 BCC tokens for xx CNY.

4. Purchase BTC from your xx CNY balance (e.g. buy 2 BTC if BCC traded at 20% price of BTC in step 3).

5. Withdraw the 2 BTC immediately to your self-controlled wallet.

6. Wait till 1 Aug 12:20 UTC.

7. Login to ViaBTC and see that your 10 BTC_frozen tokens have been turned into regular 10 BTC tokens. Withdraw these 10 BTC to your self-controlled wallet.

8. Enjoy having turned 10 BTC into 12 BTC.
