Is it BS when we hear that Bitcoin is booming in places like Venezuela, Argentina and Philippines?

When looking at https://bitnodes.21.co/nodes. There is currently 3 nodes running from Venezuela, 9 in Argentina and 1 from the Philippines.

I don't want to be rude. I'm long on Bitcoin. Are those users only using mobile apps and thin clients instead of full nodes?
