Elon Musk who has the touch of death to crypto projects sent Ape Coin soaring and the Floor Price of Bored Apes YC jumped, he reason, Elon Musk posted a new PFP on Twitter, it was the famous 101 Bored Ape Collection sold at Sotheby’s for a whopping $24 Million at that time.

 

Then the artist who created the collage for Sotheby’s cried, Elon you need my permission and insinuated Elon is not the mystery buyer of the horde of Apes.

Well the fact is, the artist for Sotheby’s is an employee of Sotheby’s, so Sotheby owns any work he does for them.

Also, while the collection that was sold belonged to Yuga Labs, unless they contracted specifially with the Artist, the creation of the collage used by Elon belongs to them, since they owned the IP before the auction and now the ‘mystery’ owner owns the IP rights to the 101 Apes.

Saying Elon is not the buyer, actually violates Sotheby’s terms for anonymous buyers, saying someone many assumed could have been the buyer was not, well that is a breach of security with confidential Sotheby’s data.

So the guy crying who made the collage should be FIRED by Sotheby’s.

As to if the owner is really Elon, well BAYC Owners should hope Elon doesn’t own one. The reason is any crypto he touches CRASHES.

He pumped DOGE to 67 cents then it crashed to now 13 cents. The Musk touch.

He pumped BITCOIN to $74K then he stopped taking it for his cars, it is now $38K

So if Elon owns Ape and Ape NFTs, that means they should be trading at a fraction soon.
