Is there a good step-by-step newbie tutorial that takes you from having coins in coinbase to something completely outside of coinbase, like a paper or hardware wallet?
Ideally I would like to be able to test it, by being able to transfer bitcoins out of coinbase into some data on my computer, and be able to deposit them into an exchange that accepts bitcoin (either coinbase or something else), and then convert that deposit into cash or my bank account. That way I know I've done a round trip and that the data I have on my computer is legitimate bitcoin.
I know I've read that the most ideal way to do this is completely offline, but I'm trying to take baby steps here, so I don't mind at least with the initial tests if its not optimal for security. After I make the initial roundtrip work then I can try something more optimal security wise.
Any help appreciated, thanks!
