1 Bitcoin now exceeds the value of 1 oz of Platinum

1 Bitcoin did not cross the price of 1 oz of Platinum in late 2013 when the latter was trading ~$1400, but in 2017 it has: during the first few days of the year and then again today. Platinum is much rarer than gold – its annual production is only ~5% of Gold's – and there are only minimal above-ground inventories of it. Historically, it has been the densest physical store of value.
